Summer got baptized on July 23. I am so proud of her and the beautiful young lady that she is becoming. We were very happy that Grandma and Grandpa Kitty could come and so many of her aunts and uncles. It was a beautiful day.

Our Neighborhood Play
So I got an insane idea this summer that it would be fun to put on a neighborhood play. Not just one play, but 3 plays! We did "Slurping Beauty", "The Emperor's New Hair," and "Rafunzel." I held auditions, ran rehearsals, did costumes, and built the stage in the backyard. I did have some lovely volunteers that came to help with hair, makeup and costumes during the play. (Thank you Michelle and Shelley!) We had popcorn and drinks and all the neighbors came and it turned out so cute! Here are some picts, hopefully the video will come shortly!

My Little Dancer
Summer Shenanigans
Ok, so I'm not perfect. (I know this comes as a shock to most of you, and I'm sorry). I worked and worked my little fingers off to get my blog all caught up, and then I stopped again. So, here it goes again.
We have had a very fun and eventful summer! First of all, Michelle talked me into helping her create a float for the Elk Ridge Parade. Neither of us had ever attempted such a thing, and it ended up being a lot more work than we thought it would be. But, it was all worth it, because we won the Grand Prize!!!! Oh yeah...a new car, an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii, and a yaught! Ok...it was a gift basket, and once we divided everything up, we got some Domino's Pizza certificates. But, despite the prize let-down, we did have a blast creating a Hawaiian paradise on a trailer complete with hula dancers in coconuts (Summer) and coolers full of Otter Pops that we got to throw at people :)
